We arrived at 7 AM and Egbert and Marc were already waiting for me.
Jan did not show up, did not call back yesterday as he told me to do, so there was a possibility he would come by himself.
When we boarded the plane I received a voicemail message that he decided not to come with us.
To get the "American" feeling, Marc bought us a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
The flight was good and we landed at 2 PM in Atlanta, AFAIK the only airport with security for arriving passengers. Crazy.
Customs were training young dogs to find food in luggage. Egbert and Marc were caught by the little dog!
The rental car company had problems with the competer system (Microsoft??) so we had to wait there an extra 30 minutes.
We arrived in Dallas, GA at Kevin's house around 5.30 PM.
We met a very nice couple with 2 amazing daughters. The youngest one dressed like a princess, the oldest one showed her little "pets".
The garage was filled with 2 ST1300's and a lot, a big lot, of boxes.
We could not take them all in the car and we were missing two big cartons, so we will be back on our way home to arrange the pick up.
After a very nice chat we left for a small diner.....Marc was a little bit hungry.
Around 8 PM we left for the trip to Kodak TN. A 200 mile ride, ETA 11.30 PM.
After about 60 miles we got very heavy rain with thunderstorms and lightning, so we left the Interstate just south of Knoxville and went to a Super8 motel.
My hands were cold and wet, my Stadler gear is absolutely waterproof.
Egbert and Marc could not see well in the car because of the rain, so they did not care we stopped.
The guys are sleeping, I am going to take a shower before I go to bed.
Tomorrow the ST's are going to be picked up by Marc and Egbert.
Hmmm... leuk te lezen zeg... Is toch wat anders dan twee weekjes Ierland op de motor (grijns). Blijf jullie volgen hoor.
