Idea was to make a picture, but there was no sign of Belgium anywhere.
We stopped in a car cleaning center and the friendly locals did not know there was a Belgium around.
We had a great ride to Weston. Road workers were protected by young women with a STOP/SLOW sign. Amazing how many people have a job.
Our concern regarding Marc is still growing. He used to be such a nice, quiet and serious guy. His behaviour is changing. Smiling all day long, talking kinda English to everybody and only talking about a Goldwing, buying a Goldwing, what color of the Goldwing.....
So we made an appointment in the Asylum of Lunatics in Weston, WV.
Diagnose: totaly insane.
Treatment: lifetime isolation cell in the Hospital of Weston or:
Lobotomy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Not to be confused with Lobectomy.
Lobotomy (Greek: λοβός — lobos: "lobe (of brain)", τομή — tome: "cut/slice") is a neurosurgical procedure, a form ofpsychosurgery, also known as a leukotomy or leucotomy (from Greek λευκός — leukos "clear/white" and tome). It consists of cutting the connections to and from the prefrontal cortex, the anterior part of the frontal lobes of the brain. While the procedure, initially termed a leucotomy, has been controversial since its inception in 1935, it was for more than two decades a mainstream procedure prescribed for psychiatric (and occasionally other) conditions— this despite general recognition of frequent and serious side-effects. The heyday of its usage was from the early 1940s until the mid-1950s when modern neuroleptic (antipsychotic) medications were introduced. By 1951 almost 20,000 lobotomies had been performed in the United States. The decline of the procedure was gradual rather than precipitous. In Ottawa's psychiatric hospitals, for instance, 58 lobotomies were performed in 1961, seven years after the arrival in Canada of the antipsychotic drug chlorpromazine in 1954. However, this did mark a decline from the 153 lobotomies performed in the same hospitals in 1953.[2]
Marc thought lobotomy had something to do with anal surgery ( La Bottom), but that was not exactly what it was.
After Marc's lobotomy treatment we did a big tour through this hospital ( the second largest stone building in the world).
Very interesting tour!
Front of the Hospital for Insanity. Closed in 1994, sold in 2007. Needs a lot ( really a lot) of renovation.
Marc on the way to the X-ray
Fridge for dead bodies. Most of the building was damaged, just a few things were left.
We continued the trip through beautiful parts of WV. Marc inspected a gas station.
As you can see, the weather improved a lot. Great weather and even better on the way!
We ended the ride in Sutton and stayed in the Royal Hilton Inn. Clean and inexpensive. It was cold in Marc's room.
The new sherrif of Sutton.
The prison.
For those people who cannot wait till the Dragon will be opened in September, the solution is in Sutton!
